tbcHow do I interact with Second Life objects

Tutorial overview

This tutorial explains how to use and interact with objects in Second Life.

This tutorial is rated as - 1 computer - easy to achieve

You'll need the following software - Second Life

You'll need the following hardware - See the Second Life website for minimum requirements.

If you want to interact with an object and see if it does anything, simply left click it or right click and select Touch from the pie menu.

The way the object reacts will depend on how it was made. Some objects will offer an item, such as a notecard, or a link out to a website when touched, some will move or even talk to you, while most will do absolutely nothing.

It should be obvious when an object is something you can interact with but don't worry about going around and clicking everything in sight if you're not sure.

Not all objects in Second Life behave as you would expect them to in real life. For example, doors may not open when you touch them. It's all down to the creator to make them work and sometimes things are made do look good but not 'do' anything.
