A notecard is a Second Life item, normally containing simple text. Links to other inventory items, such as landmarks and snapshots, can also be put in notecards.

Creating a basic notecard

  1. Click Inventory at the bottom of Second Life to open your inventory folders
  2. Right click the Notecards folder and select New Note
  3. Give your notecard a name
  4. Type the contents of your notecard in the window that opens
  5. Click Save

To open or edit a notecard, simply find it in your inventory and double click it.

Adding images or links to a notecard

When the Create Notecard window is open, simply drag and drop another inventory item into the note. A link to the item will appear in your notecard. Images can only be added as links and can not be embedded.

Sharing notecards with other residents

Drag and drop the notecard from your inventory onto the avatar. They will be asked if they want to accept it.
