How long does it take to get up and running in Second Life
Tutorial overview Use this guidance as a way of finding out how long it may take you to get to grips with Second Life. |
Although the registration and install process only takes a few minutes, getting to grips with Second Life controls does take more time and practise. How quickly you pick it up will depend on how much experience you have with virtual worlds, online gaming and navigating with a keyboard. Normally it takes a few hours of playing around to master moving around, customizing the way your avatar looks and learning to search for and teleport to the places where you want to be. When you first log on you will appear on one of the welcome islands, which will be full of helpful hints on getting started, freebies like new clothes and skins, as well as suggestions on how to navigate. |
