The Young Engineers Awards reflect the vitally important role that young engineers - and their employers - have to play in future proofing the built environment and supporting the UK economy. Never has the call for new engineering talent been more urgent than it is today. Ten finalists were challenged to demonstrate their presenting and communication skills to a panel of expert judges on Thursday 8 October 2015. Graduates Ruth Howlett and Peng Jiang, from the Department of Architecture and Built Environment, presented in the final. Ruth achieved third place.
Ruth Howlett graduated with 2:1 class MEng in Architecture and Environmental Design from The University of Nottingham in 2013 and now works as a graduate engineer at AECOM London office.
Peng Jiang graduate with 1st class BEng in Architectural Environment Engineering from The University of Nottingham in 2012 and now works at Skelly and Couch Ltd London office.
