The University of Nottingham is located on a beautiful campus a few miles outside the city of Nottingham with a lake, gardens, woodland and extensive greenery. The University has an on-line video that lets you see how stunning the campus is.
The 'Friends of University Park' also have a website to show you what activities, walks and events are currently taking place on campus.
The University has extensive sports facilities that cater for almost every kind of sporting interest. There is a swimming pool on the University Park campus, fitness suite, playing fields, tennis courts, squash courts, snooker tables and sports halls for martial arts, aerobics etc.
The University has a wide number of student events and societies organised through the Student Union (a student-led organisation in the University). The Student Union has a full list of student societies on their website so if you have a passion for walking, dancing etc., there should be a society to suit your interests!
Students in the School of English are members of the English Society and have set up this English Society. The website shows the latest events they are organising.
The PGSA is the representative body for all postgraduate students at The University of Nottingham, and all current postgraduate students including part-time are automatically members. The aim of the PGSA is to make the postgraduate experience as enjoyable and rewarding as possible. They run social events throughout the year, organise sports teams, look after welfare issues, and represent postgraduate interests on University committees.
