Modelling Nitrogen Dynamics on Svalbard As part of a larger NERC funded project we developed models of nitrogen dynamics for a terrestrial ecosystem on Svalbard. The models utilised data collected from experimental plots established near Kongsfjorden.
This work led to the development of a robust and readily applicable model of the formation and melting of ice of a antarctic freshwater lake. The model has been applied to predict ice dynamics under a number of global warming scenarios. |
