Modelling Methods & Software

Modelling Methods and Software

In addition to our applied work we have a variety of modelling software and methods projects. More information can be found under the links below.

ModelMaker

ModelMaker is a simple to use modelling package, rather in the style of Stella, which was originally developed in our group. It was subsequently commercialised under licence from the University, although there is now no connection.

OpenModel

OpenModel is a bespoke modelling environment designed to meet specific needs within our work here at Nottingham.

Methods for the Development of Parsimonious Models

This ongoing project is investigating ways in which the complexity of large environmental and agricultrual models can be systematically controlled.

Model Optimisation and Fitting

We have many years practical experience of model fitting and optimisation. This link outlines some of the methods we use.
