Midlands Graduate School

The Midlands Graduate School is a collaborative venture between The University of Nottingham and The University of Birmingham Doctoral Training Centre and the Warwick Social Sciences Doctoral Training Centre to provide dedicated facilities, resources and support to postgraduate students and early career researchers.

All ESRC Doctoral Training Centre students are automatically members of the Midlands Graduate School.

Doctoral Events Grants

The Birmingham, Nottingham and Warwick ESRC Doctoral Training Centres (DTC) – working together as the Midlands Graduate School (MGS) – are pleased to announce a competition for up to eight Doctoral Event Grants. 

Each Grant will consist of a conference budget of up to £1000 to organise a one-day interdisciplinary postgraduate conference. The conferences are to be held at any of the three universities during the academic year 2014-2015 or 2015-2016, and are to be designed to include participants from at least two, and preferably all three, of the MGS partners.
