Mixed Recycling
A Mixed Recycling scheme has been setup with our recycling contractors to provide the University the means to recycle: Mixed Paper and Card, Plastic Bottles and Food and Drink Cans. All these items can be placed into appropriate bins throughout the University. Specific bins include 'On Street Recycling' bins dotted throughout campus and they look like: There are also 'Mixed Recycling' blue bins located throughout the University. Please look out for the following signage (or similar) that indicates a bin is to be used for recycling only. Signs look like:
Please rinse out all containers and flat pack any cardboard. These bins do not take container lids, yogurt pots, margarine tubs, food trays, drink cartons, polystyrene packaging or plastic carrier bags. They also do not take glass and black bin liners can not be placed into any mixed recycling bins at any time.
