Recycling RatesThe University has recycled paper, cardboard, electronic goods, glass and grounds waste for a number of years. With the introduction of new recycling initiatives and future recycling streams being investigated, not only has it never been easier for staff and students to recycle more, but recycling rates have increased and we hope they will continue to increase. The graph below shows our monthly recycling rates in 2008/9. The University's annual recycling rate was 29%.
This second graph shows annual recycling rates together with our target recycling rate. The University has set a target to recycle 40% of waste by 2011/12.
