University Park: Portland Building Remodelling Phase 1 - The Studio
Phase one of the Portland Remodelling Redevelopment has been undertaken this summer. CPMG Architects have been working closely with the Student Union to facilitate this first phase.
It provides a new hub for all Student Societies and activities. The space will include an open and flexible environment with easily moveable furniture and IT provision, as well a more formal showcase activity space.
The redevelopment will also include refurbished and relocated toilet provision and a new performance space with retractable seating and stage.
As well as the internal works, new windows will be created and a new external terrace will be created.

University Park: Coates Building, Group Study Rooms
Coates Building has recently been equipped with a new group study space on A floor, this is a new 24hr student group working facility.
The facility houses numerous group work stations with AV and enable drop-in teaching support as available.

University Park: Chemistry Building, S-Lab Refurbishment
This summer part of C floor of the Chemistry Building has undergone a major refurbishment to facilitate the S-Lab redevelopment. This is the result of the multi-million HEFCE-STEM funding application for supporting new teaching laboratories.The S-Lab offers a capacity of 150 students with 50 fume cupboards.

Riverside Sports Complex: New Changing Pavilions
Work has completed on two new changing pavilions, which will be constructed at the University’s Riverside Sports Complex (formally Grove Farm).
The modern facilities, which will replace the current dated changing rooms, have been designed by Nottingham architects CPMG. Kier Construction have been appointed to construct the pavilions for a gross development cost of £4.8million.
The two 800 sq m pavilions will provide spacious and flexible changing facilities to support the University’s continued commitment to sport at the site. Thirty-eight changing rooms are being provided to accommodate teams playing a range of sports including football, cricket, rugby and American football.

Sutton Bonington Campus: The Barn
Work has completed on the latest development at Sutton Bonington Campus. The Barn includes a new dining hall, bar, faith spaces, student guild space and graduate centre.
Wilmot Dixon were main contractors and Make Architects are the lead consultant with AKTII as structural engineer and Atelier Ten as services engineer. Gleeds are acting as project manager and William Saunders as cost manager.
