Lynda and Jonathan with Finn

Lynda and her partner Jonathan (an equine osteopath) are developing horse care methods that are in tune with a horse’s natural lifestyle as a herd animal.

During a client visit they took on the care of Finn after he was diagnosed with unexplained lameness and no longer wanted by his owners.

The ETC helped Lynda and Jonathan by providing them access to a specialist thermal imaging camera which can identify 'hot-spots'. This technology is more commonly used to identify heat loss from buildings but can also be used to identify heat emanating from muscle tissue. In Finns case it also detected a bad tooth which was causing a toothache and resulted in a visit from the dentist!

Lynda and Jonathan are continuing with the use of thermal imaging and plan to conduct trials in the New Year.
