Commercial Services
Commercial Services is part of the Financial and Business Services Department, a professional service within the University of Nottingham.
The department is headed by Graham Ward, Commercial Director and offers advice and support to the wider University to facilitate the delivery of improved efficiency and value for money through:

Improving management of cash and funds

Promoting increased financial and commercial awareness

Constructive challenge

Facilitating the establishment of appropriate forums and project teams

Commercial and legal assistance to help manage project risks effectively and incentivise appropriate behaviour

Improving internal systems and procedures
Offered as a service to Schools and Departments across the University, on an as required basis, usually linked to strategic initiatives within the University.
Includes management of the University's commercial projects (Private Finance Initiatives (PFI), contract negotiation, joint ventures, performance improvement and strategic financial management).
