On Friday 12 October 2012 Santander decided to withdraw from their agreement to purchase the RBS branches in England and Wales and NatWest branches in Scotland, the retail and business accounts attached to these branches, direct banking business and selected corporate customers.
This means the University's accounts will not now be moving to Santander as originally planned.
The new bank accounts issued earlier this year and noted below will continue to be those used by the University.
Nothing needs to be done as a result of this news – it’s very much business as usual and RBS have promised to endeavour to continue to provide the high standards of service we would expect from our banking partner.
