To apply for the Foundation Year, you can either apply via the Universities Clearing and Admissions Service (UCAS) or, if you are an international applicant, via a direct application.
UCAS APPLICATIONS (All applicants)
To apply via UCAS, you will need to register at www.ucas.ac.uk.
For those wishing to apply for the September start, the course codes you will need to enter are H100 for the Engineering Pathway or CFG0 for the Science Pathway.
For applicants wishing to apply for the January start on the Engineering Pathway, the course code you will need to enter is H102. Our institution code is N84.
Please note that for the Science route and the Chemical Engineering route there is just one entry point, in September.

International applicants should be aware that it can take a considerable amount of time to obtain a visa, we therefore advise early application.
Progression
Students who successfully complete the Foundation Programme will automatically progress onto the first year of an appropriate BSc, BEng or MEng degree (subject to students completing the relevant pathway module options to the required standard).

Pre-Foundation English Course
The Centre for English Language Education runs a preparatory ten-week course for international students going on to Foundation Programmes. The course focuses on building students’ confidence through developing their English language knowledge and ability and through helping them to acquire the appropriate study strategies.
