Entry Requirements

Who can apply?

If you are eligible to apply to the BM BS Graduate Entry Medicine Course you will require the following criteria towards a successful application:

  • Candidates holding (or predicted to gain) a Bachelors (Honours) Degree, classified 2:2 (or overseas1 equivalent) or above in any subject discipline. We will accept a higher degree, such as a Master's or PhD in lieu of a first degree2.
We do not consider A level and GCSE examination results
  • Demonstrate relevant Work Experience - candidates will be asked to complete a "Record of Work Experience" once they have applied to the course. Relevant experience could include volunteering in a care home, working as a Healthcare Assistance within a hospital.
A great deal of emphasis is placed on work experience, as we want to ensure that you are making a well-informed choice about your future career, something which a few days shadowing would not provide.
  • Complete a satisfactory health check3 - for more information see "fitness to practise"
  • Complete satisfactory criminal records checks3 - for more information see "fitness to practise"
