Dr Simon Gosling speaks to the media on the current hot spell in the UK

 

Dr Simon Gosling has been interviewed and quoted numerous times in the press this week. Simon has been speaking about the current spell of hot weather in the UK, and how these events could become more common in the future due to climate change. He was interviewed by BBC East Midlands Today, which will be aired on BBC1 at 6:30pm on Friday 30th September. Simon was also interviewed by BBC Radio Nottingham and GEM106 FM. He was further quoted in newspapers, including The Express and The Nottingham Post. Simon is a leading international expert on heat waves and the effects they can have on human health. His latest research, published in the journal Climatic Change, shows that heat waves in the UK could occur more frequently in the future.
