In practical EMC problems, three-dimensional electromagnetic fields and complex circuits interact to determine immunity and emission characteristics. Simulation of each of these domains is fairly advanced but coupled simulations involving both levels of description are rare. The projects aims to study and develop an interface which will allow coupled problems to be tackled with realistic computational resources. The target specification is for a multiwire circuit involving non-linear lumped components, placed inside a leaky cabinet to be modelled for emission and immunity. Basic pre-processing and full validation and documentation are envisaged.
