Wire Bend

The animation below shows the results of a TLM simulation of a Gaussian signal travelling along a wire with a 90° bend in it. The radiation caused by the signal going round the bend can be clearly seen. When the signal reaches the open circuit at the end of the wire it reflects and goes back down the wire. The Values plotted are for the z component of the magnetic field in the same plane as the wire. This animation is also available as an avi file here. The animation was created using Matlab.
