Transmission through a thin slot

The animation below shows the results of a TLM simulation of a Gaussian plane wave transmission through a thin slot. It is shown clearly that after encountering the metal shield, the plane wave is reflected back, only a small amount of energy get through the slot and form a circular wave.This animation is also available as an avi file here.
