On Tuesday 23rd March 2010 Lord Mandelson, Secretary of State for Business, Innovation & Skills and Science and Innovation Minister, Lord Drayson invite will launch the new executive space agency for the UK and the publication of the Government response to the Space Innovation and Growth Strategy. The space and satellite industry is one of the UK’s unsung success stories, which supports 68,000 jobs in the UK directly and indirectly and contributes £6.5bn to the economy. This high-tech, high-skilled sector is underpinned by a leading edge scientific, technical and engineering capability in both industry and academia, with the potential to excite students of all ages.
