BBSRC PhD Studentships in Biorenewables and Bioenergy
Students receive general training in the first six months, including a series of 3 mini-projects which provide experience of working in different research areas. At the end of the first six months, you will choose from a selection of interdisciplinary projects in Bioenergy and Biorenewables.
The projects will focus on the science and engineering of the microbial and enzymatic processes (including the interface with process chemistry) and with a strong emphasis on systems biology, systems chemistry and systems engineering. Many of the projects include collaborative links with industry. Details of project areas are available at: Biorenewables and Bioprocessing Research Group
; ClosTron.com - Clostridia Research Group (CRG)
Funding is available for four years from Autumn 2012. This studentship includes a three-month full-time placement outside of the research environment.
Further information regarding the DTP is available at: www.nottingham.ac.uk/graduateschool/BiosciencesDTP

Eligibility for full funding is restricted to UK students (fees and stipend). EU students are eligible for fees only awards, unless they fulfil the residency criteria for a full award.
The application deadline for the 2012 cohort has now passed.
