Welcome to the Engineering & Science Graduate Centre
The Engineering & Science Graduate Centre (ESGC) is a brand new facility (opened in September 2011) for the exclusive use of Science & Engineering postgraduates and researchers.
The Graduate Centre, situated in the Engineering and Science Learning Centre, provides a great environment for you to relax and network with colleagues from across both Faculties.
The Centre features facilities such as daily newspapers, refreshments and games; wi-fi with power point access and 12 networked computers; a kitchen, library of careers & corporate information and a seminar room – all of which are free to use by it’s members.
With an aim of improving the employability of engineering and science postgraduates through innovative support & training, the centre offers a number of different opportunities to enhance your career and personal development.
Rebecca Dowsett and Rachael Pearson are the members of the Graduate School's Researcher Training and Development Team who have specific responsibility for supporting training and development activities in the ESGC, with Helen Whitfield providing administrative support.
The team are present at the ESGC on a regular basis to provide researchers with the opportunity to discuss issues related to career and professional development needs.
