Vacancy - Intern role - Digital Economy Young Entrepreneurs Scheme (DEYES)

Timeframe: Semester Two (approx 10 weeks during semester two excluding vacation period)
Payment: £10 per hour. Maximum 63 hours (£630)
Hours of Work: Flexible to suit project demands - average of 6 hours per week

Description:
The intern will have responsibility for promoting the DEYES programme. The candidate is expected to develop a contact database using Microsoft Access of decision makers in organisations that have an interest in sponsoring the forthcoming DEYES event. You will be responsible for promoting the scheme by representing the University of Nottingham and the Digital Economy and Society research program in general. This work will be largely phone and email, although it may involve face to face meetings with prospective sponsors. The successful candidate will gain practical and demonstrable experience in the following areas:

•Representing a leading global institution with external partners
•Building good working relationships with colleagues across the university (both academic and administrative)
•Using advanced presentation skills
•Using advanced interpersonal skills
