There are a range of opportunities for Masters students to develop valuable skills, enhance employability and prepare for the next step, wherever it may lead.

As well as the opportunities below, there will also be support available in your school.

Short courses

Short courses are offered by the Safety Office, the Careers and Employability Service, Information Services, and the Centre for English Language Education (CELE).

A few MA and MSc courses are eligible for researcher development courses. To search for suitable courses and register to attend, visit the University of Nottingham Short Courses website.

Postgraduate Placements Programme

Fancy undertaking a short, flexible placement with a local organisation? 

The University of Nottingham and Nottingham Trent University are working with local public and private sector organisations, giving postgraduates the chance to complete a variety of work-based projects. By participating in an 8-12 hour placement, you can learn transferable skills, improve your CV, enhance your employability prospects and earn up to £1,200.

Academic Support

Support for students with dyslexia and other SpLDs is primarily provided by Academic Support (comprising Dyslexia Support and Study Support) who can recommend reasonable adjustments, including alternative examination arrangements if appropriate, and provide support in a variety of ways, including one-to-one sessions.
