Below is a short introduction the kinds of materials that you can find there:
There is information about writing skills, your research degree, ethics and managing your supervisor - right through to preparing for your viva.
On the left hand side is a taster from the 'Preparing for your Viva' materials. In this video Eleanor discusses what happened on the day of her viva.
You’ll find material on qualitative and quantitative methods, including statistics and analysing qualitative data, plus information on how to get access to the online survey service to create your own surveys.
On the right hand side you can see an image of part of a survey that was created by the online survey service.
You will also find essentials about jobs and transferable skills, the impact of research on business and the wider world and postdoctoral research.
In this video Dr Kim Evans talks about some of the skills he has carried over from his recent PhD.
Kim made this video during his time at the Graduate School which directly followed his PhD. Kim is now a member of research staff.
