Biography

Louise Hawkins trained as a physiotherapist at the University of Nottingham, following a successful career in environmental clean-up and regulation. After qualifying, Louise worked for the NHS providing rehabilitation in community settings for people with a range of conditions, including stroke.

Louise works in the Rehabilitation Research Group at the University of Nottingham's School of Health Sciences. She was the co-ordinator for the Nottingham Fatigue After Stroke study (funded by the Stroke Association), and has been awarded a Stroke Association Postgraduate Fellowship to enable her to study for a PhD, and to continue to work in stroke rehabilitation and post-stroke fatigue research.
