The Human Resources Department (HR) is critical in providing strategy, policy, procedures and advice ensuring we continue to get the best from our staff throughout the entire employee life cycle.

The Employment Services Team provides a comprehensive employment service, which includes professional advice for all categories of staff on the areas listed below:

HR Policy, Projects & Shared Services

John Dicken - Head of HR Policy, Projects & Shared Services

HR Policy, Projects and Shared Services provides the supporting HR infrastructure that enables effective HR operational and strategic delivery including policy, guidance, processes and systems as well as provides a centralised HR Shared Service Function. Services include:

HR Shared Services

  • The provision of recruitment solutions to meet the staffing needs of the University.
  • The provision of a comprehensive HR transactional service including, maintenance of HR data and records, facilitating HR process and supporting the resolution of general HR queries.

HR Policy & Projects

  • The development, maintenance and implementation of fit for purpose HR policy and processes that support the strategic, operational and people management needs of the University.
  • The Development and technical maintenance of HR Business systems, the development and delivery of HR operational and strategic management information and the development of efficient and effective HR business processes supported by systemised solutions.
  • The Development and implementation of strategic and operational HR projects that support a progressive HR strategy in achieving HR best practice within the University.
