Universities Superannuation Scheme Consultation

   
   

Changes to future Pension Benefits provided by Universities Superannuation Scheme (USS) have been proposed by the scheme's Joint Negotiating Committee (JNC). The JNC is the negotiating forum within USS and includes both employees and member representatives. The JNC is responsible for deciding upon changes to scheme rules.

The proposed changes are now subject to formal consultation with affected employee's and their representatives. This information is intended to support this consultation process and provide links to the relevant information.

The full consultation document, detailing the proposed changes is available on their site. In addition the employer consultation website provides access to a pre-populated interactive modeller. This will allow you to estimate the potential impact of the proposals on your future benefits. In order to access the modeller you will need specific details contained within your consultation letter that was issued to you the week commencing 9th March 2015.
