Two new FRA publications

Yesterday the European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights (FRA)  issued two new publications:

  • Promoting respect and diversity - Combating intolerance is a special contribution to the European Commission’s first annual colloquium on fundamental rights which will take place on 1 - 2 October. This paper calls for greater efforts to acknowledge ethnic, linguistic, cultural and religious diversity in the EU and use it to strengthen social cohesion and growth.
  • Antisemitism:  Overview of data available in the European Union is the FRA's annual update on anti-Semitism. This reports out that reliable and comparable figures to help tackle anti-Semitism effectively are still missing.  Victims and witnesses need to be encourage to report anti-Semitic incidents, and, moreover, authorities must have systems in place to record them.
