Implementing and Monitoring International Human Rights Standards in Bahrain

In March 2012, the HRLC hosted a delegation of six judges and officials from the Ministry of Justice and Ministry of Human Rights and Social Development of Bahrain.  The course was funded by the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office Embassy of Bahrain and focused on Implementing and Monitoring International Human Rights Conventions.  The course consisted of a combination of training sessions by human rights experts, both academics and practitioners, and visits to Nottingham Magistrates' Court, Nottingham Crown Court, HMP Nottingham, as well as the Equality and Human Rights Commission, Amnesty International, Justice and the Foreign and Commonwealth Office in London.
