Popular Culture Lecture Series

Popular Culture Lecture Series 2014: art by jasonedmiston.com

Superman enemy Zod

The new Popular Culture Lecture Series will explore diverse facets and features of popular culture.

Popular culture is what we live by, breathe in, and, often literally, consume every single day, from our phones to the radios of our cars, from the circus to the stage, the street or the big screen. Come and hear about your favourite novel, TV series, movie or comic book by speakers from across the University.

The lectures are free and primarily aimed at postgraduate students and research staff members, but undergraduate students and members of the general public are also welcome.

Lectures will consist in a 30-40 minute lecture/paper followed by a 20 minute question and answer session.
