Indian indentured labour and the history of rights

In July 2015, with the aid of funding from IAPS, I presented a paper on Indian indentured labour and the history of rights at the World History Association Conference in Savannah, Georgia. The paper drew several experts on the topics of immigration, race and labour in the global context. They offered feedback that will be extremely helpful as I revise the paper into a research article and for a subsequent presentation at an invited talk in Australia in September this year, which will be funded by a grant to the conveners from the Australian Arts and Humanities Research Council. The responses of the attendees will, in addition, guide the grant proposals that I am currently preparing.
