Local schoolchildren are helping our researchers determine the best ways to activate brown adipose tissue and prevent excess weight gain.

We’ve been celebrating the London Olympics at school and learning about healthy eating and getting active. We helped find out if making more heat can keep us healthy. The team took special heat pictures when I put my hand in water. The camera looks like a normal one but takes pictures of the heat we are making. It was fun to see how my neck glows hot when my hand gets cold.
