George Wood 

George Wood is a member of a Bereaved Carers’ Group. His wife died in 2009, just 14 weeks after it was discovered that she had a brain tumour. After a 40-plus year career in the NHS, George felt he had something to contribute to the University’s research. He found the workshops very positive, and realised that listening to others talk about their experiences made him want to help them. He says:

They’re an amazing group of people to share stories with and get support from.

George is keen to stay involved with the University’s research as he’d like to help bring about change.
