Description
As part of Nottingham City Council's Trent in Trenches series, Dr Diane Atkinson delivers a talk looking at the role of women in the First World War. The lecture will be based on her acclaimed book 'Elsie and Mairi go to War', the story of how how two British heroines defied convention and Germany's war machine to rescue allied wounded from the battlefields of Belgium.
