Description

This event is being jointly hosted by the Integrating Global Society reserach priority group and the Financial Services Research Forum will be of interest to academics (including PhD students and Post-doctoral Researchers) working on topics relating to finance and society, who are interested in:

  • Enhancing the impact of their work through influencing policy and practice.
  • Developing new collaborative research, particularly with stakeholders in the sector.
  • Learning more about internal funding opportunities for research in this area.

The Financial Services Research Forum is a unique resource, based at the University of Nottingham, which draws together a range of Financial Services providers, academics and other stakeholders to inform policymakers in the public, private and voluntary sectors about financial behaviour issues. It conducts robust, independent research into aspects of consumer behaviour in retail financial services.

In a collaborative initiative with the Integrating Global Society Research Priority Group, new opportunities for collaboration and research are being explored. This event aims to introduce the work of the Forum to academics across the University with an interest in financial behaviour, and in developments in the sector and in the global economy that are likely to have profound implications for financial services consumers and their interactions with financial services markets. At a time when the industry faces pressure to change, we can make an important contribution in helping to inform that change.

The event will:

  • Highlight the Forum’s research objectives.
  • Explore the Forum’s role in facilitating and enhancing impact.
  • Explore opportunities for collaborative research.
  • Detail internal funding opportunities in this area.
