Below is an approximate guide to entry requirements for students from Austria for admission to The University of Nottingham at the following levels.
Applicants from Austria are normally not required to complete a foundation course.

Reifeprüfungzeugnis or Matura/Maturazeugnis with an overall average mark ranging between 1.3 for the most competitive courses and 2.5 for the least competitive courses. You may also be asked to achieve a certain score (e.g. 2) in specific subjects.
A typical Reifeprüfungzeugnis or Matura requirement for a course with a BBB A level entry requirement is an overall average grade of 2.
Students taking A levels or the IB should refer to the online undergraduate prospectus for entry requirements.
Students taking APs or SATIIs should refer to entry requirements for the USA.
Typical minimum requirements from Austrian universities are an average grade of at least 3 to 2 depending on the course applied for.
A Diplomstudium / Magister degree will be considered for masters entry as well.
A Fachhochschuldiplom or Diplom from a Fachhochschule may in some cases be considered only if high grades have been attained.

A masters (Diplomstudium/Magister) and bachelors from a recognised university are usually required for PhD entry.
Exceptional students may be considered for PhD entry without a masters qualification.
Typical minimum grade requirements from Austrian universities are an overall average of 3 to 2.
For all research degrees, we recommend that you make initial enquiries with a potential supervisor or the relevant University of Nottingham school / department before applying. A research proposal is required when submitting your application.
To study at Nottingham, you will need to demonstrate a required level of English language proficiency. In addition to the more common language qualifications - such as IELTS, TOEFL, (I)GCSE, O level, IB and A and AS level English - the University also considers a number of other English language qualifications for admission.
