Below is an approximate guide to entry requirements for students from France for admission to The University of Nottingham at the following levels.
Applicants from France are normally not required to complete a foundation course.

Students should either hold the Baccalaureate de l’Enseignement du Second Degré (also known as the French Bac) or the Option International du Baccalauréat (OIB).
You should hold an overall average grade of at least 14 for the most competitive courses or 12 for the least competitive courses in the normal French Baccalaureate. A typical French Bac requirement for a course with a BBB A level entry requirement is an overall average grade of 13.
For the OIB, you should hold an overall average grade of at least 13 for the most competitive courses or 10 for the least competitive courses. A typical OIB requirement for a course with a BBB A level entry requirement is an overall average grade of 12.
Students taking A levels or the IB should refer to the online undergraduate prospectus for entry requirements.
Students taking APs or SATIIs should refer to entry requirements for the USA.
A bachelor degree, lcence, Diplôme D’Ingénieur, diplôme from an école supérieure or higher qualification from a recognised university will be considered for masters entry.
Typical minimum requirements from French universities are an average grade of at least 11 to 14 depending on the course applied for.

A maîtrise / masters and bachelor degree (or licence, Diplôme D’Ingénieur, diplôme from an école supérieure) from a recognised university are usually required for PhD entry.
Qualifications considered equivalent to Masters degrees: Diplôme d'Etudes Approfondies, Diplôme d'Etudes Supérieures Specialisées or Grade de Master.
Exceptional students may be considered for PhD entry without a Masters qualification.

For all research degrees, we recommend that you make initial enquiries with a potential supervisor or the relevant University of Nottingham school / department before applying. A research proposal is required when submitting your application.
To study at Nottingham, you will need to demonstrate a required level of English language proficiency. In addition to the more common language qualifications - such as IELTS, TOEFL, (I)GCSE, O level, IB and A and AS level English - the University also considers a number of other English language qualifications for admission.
