Below is an approximate guide to entry requirements for students from Malaysia for admission to The University of Nottingham at the following levels.
A levels and STPM are widely accepted for undergraduate entry and it is rare for Foundation courses to be required - although they may be recommended if the wrong mix of subjects has been taken for your chosen degree.
Students who have completed their SPM can be considered for entry into our foundation courses.

A levels and STPM are widely accepted for undergraduate entry. A typical STPM requirement / mix of subjects for a course with a BBB A level entry requirement is B+B+B+.
UEC students with at least 5 to 6 Grade As in science subjects could be considered for entry into UG Science and Engineering courses.
Students taking A levels or the IB should refer to the online undergraduate prospectus for entry requirements.
Students taking APs or SATIIs should refer to entry requirements for the USA.
A bachelors degree from a recognised university will be considered for masters entry.
Typical minimum GPA requirements from Malaysian universities are GPA 2.8 to 3.0 out of 4.

For all research degrees, we recommend that you make initial enquiries with a potential supervisor or the relevant University of Nottingham school / department before applying. A research proposal is required when submitting your application.
To study at Nottingham, you will need to demonstrate a required level of English language proficiency. In addition to the more common language qualifications - such as IELTS, PTE, (I)GCSE, O level, IB and A and AS level English - the University also considers a number of other English language qualifications for admission.
Our Centre for English Language Education (CELE) offers a range of English language courses.
These courses are designed to prepare international students with the required language skills for academic study at The University of Nottingham.
