China Scholarship Council Research Excellence Scholarship

10 full tuition fees scholarships and stipends

In partnership with the China Scholarship Council

You can apply for this scholarship if you

• are a Chinese national AND
• meet the requirements of the China Scholarship Council – please see their website AND
• are classed as an overseas student for fee purposes AND
• already hold an offer to start a full-time PhD Research degree programme at Nottingham in September or October 2012 – any subject area – this offer must be unconditional (conditional offers will be considered providing all English language requirements have been met – i.e. IELTS/TOEFL) 

The closing date for applications is 24th February 2012 – 12 mid-day (UK time)

We aim to notify applicants  by email within 2 weeks of the closing date to confirm the outcome of the first stage of their application and if they are successful they will also receive a letter confirming the details of their scholarship – they will then need to submit the confirmation of the award to the China Scholarship Council before 20th March 2012, together with other documents specified on their website

These scholarships are for up to each of 3 years of a Research programme subject to satisfactory progress

• Stipend – amount to be confirmed – to be covered by the China Scholarship Council
