USA Masters Scholarship and Postgraduate Funding Opportunities

20 scholarships of 25% towards tuition fees
You can apply for this scholarship if you:
are a national of (or permanently domiciled in) the USA AND
are classed as an overseas student for fee purposes AND
are not currently studying at a University of Nottingham campus or are not a University of Nottingham graduate AND
already have, or expect to receive, a final CGPA of no less than 3.2 AND
already hold an offer to start a full-time masters degree programme, including MRes, at Nottingham in September 2014, any subject area, excluding MBA.
In partnership with our alumni association – The Friends of The University of Nottingham: America – we will also award one $6,000 from the applications above.
Nottingham-American Elite Athlete Scholarship
If you are an elite athlete and are successful in your application for our USA masters scholarship you will also be considered for an additional Nottingham-American Elite Athlete Scholarship worth $3,200 towards tuition fees, awarded by Nottingham’s Department of Physical Recreation and Sport. In Section 3a of the scholarship application form under the question ‘Why should the panel select you for this scholarship?’ please indicate if you are seeking an Elite Athlete Scholarship and we may contact you shortly after the 23 May closing date to ask for an additional statement.
Application for admission to study at Nottingham must be received at least six weeks before the scholarship closing date to allow time for our Admissions office to process the application and confirm your offer, before you can apply for the scholarship. Any application for admission to study submitted later than six weeks before the scholarship closing date is not guaranteed to be processed in time.

Fulbright Awards – The University of Nottingham is delighted to offer one fee waiver each year, in partnership with the Fulbright Commission, for a graduate student to pursue a one year masters degree programme at The University of Nottingham, any subject area. Students must apply to The University of Nottingham for a place of study, and separately to the Fulbright Commission for scholarship consideration – more information and an application form.
Marshall Scholarships finance young Americans of high ability to study for a degree in the United Kingdom. The University of Nottingham is pleased to offer a scholarship for graduate study in any subject at either masters or doctoral level. The award will be for two years (with a possibility of a third year for doctoral studies) – more information.
US Federal Loans – The University of Nottingham is eligible to certify loan applications for the Federal Direct Loan Program (FDLP). These include Stafford Loans and Graduate Plus Loans. We can also certify Parent Plus loans and private loans such as Signature Loans – more information.
