The InterPregGen project was launched at the start-up meeting in London, UK, on January 13 and 14, 2012. Researchers from Finland, Iceland, Kazakhstan, Norway, Uzbekistan and the UK met to discuss the start of the project. One of our first priorities is to start recruitment of 2000 women affected by pre-eclampsia, together with their partners, and 2000 healthy pregnant women, in Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. Recruitment will start in the first half of 2012. A lot of genetic data is already available from European women with pre-eclampsia, and analysis of these results has now started.
