We host an exciting weekly seminar programme with a mix of stimulating external and internal speakers who are all renowned experts in their field. The seminars cover wide ranging of topics such as 'How climate change will affect global food security', 'Public perceptions of regenerative medicine' and 'The ethics of using animals in biomedical research'. Afterwards, there is a chance to enjoy some refreshment, meet the speaker and continue discussion in an informal setting so why not come and join us. Seminars are held every Thursday between 1.00 p.m. - 2.00 p.m. in Room A100, West Wing - Law and Social Sciences Building, University Park
The ISS Reading Group was formed in April 2007 to provide a forum for discussing both seminal papers and topical issues that relate to the varied research interests of the Institute. It is open to anyone with an interest in analysing science, technology and medicine from a social science or humanities perspective. The Reading Group meets on the last Thursday of the month between 12.30 p.m. – 1.30 p.m. in the Staff Club, University Park.
