Dr Stavroula Leka is going to be awarded an early career achievement award by the American Psychological Association, the US National Institute for Occupational Safety & Health and the Society for Occupational Health Psychology in Orlando, Florida this week. This award honours researchers and practitioners from around the world who have made exceptional early career contributions to the science and/or practice of occupational health psychology.
Stavroula is an Associate Professor in Occupational Health Psychology at the Institute. She chairs the Institute’s Internationalisation Committee and manages its World Health Organization programme in occupational health. She is co-editor of the first textbook in occupational health psychology and the technical co-author of the first guidance standard on the management of psychosocial risks in the workplace. She is expert advisor to the European Commission, the World Health Organization and the International Labour Office.
