Accreditation for Prior Learning

All students are required to take each module; no accreditation for prior learning can be offered.

The reason for this is twofold:

  1. the modules (and accompanying optional fortnightly web conference tutorials) follow a sequence and build on one another and
  2. all learning uses the very latest scientific research so even if a student has studied a similar topic at a previous point in time the chances are that knowledge in the area will have moved on.

Learning Resources

The University of Nottingham boasts an extensive eLibrary facility (the eLibrary Gateway) through which many thousands of journals and eBooks can be accessed online.

Access to the contemporary scientific literature through the eLibrary Gateway is a key benefit associated with study at the University of Nottingham.

Students on the MSc in Workplace Health & Wellbeing are required to purchase just two essential books:

  • American Psychological Association (2009). Publication manual of the American Psychological Association (6th Ed.). Washington: American Psychological Association.
  • Leka, S. & Houdmont J. (Eds.) (2010). Occupational health psychology. Oxford: Wiley-Blackwell.
