The University of Nottingham was described by The Times Good University Guide as ‘the nearest Britain has to a truly global university, with campuses in China and Malaysia modelled on a headquarters that is among the most attractive in Britain’. We have recently concluded Impact: the Nottingham Campaign- raising over £200m and engaging over 1000 volunteers. Planning is already underway for our next even more ambitious campaign.  We aim to develop a much richer understanding of the motivations of our audiences; and use this to design and deliver personalised journeys that will engage and maximise support over the long term.

We have a vacancy for an Alumni Relations manager who will manage relationships with c. 50k alumni who graduated at least 20 years ago; and be a leader of our audience-focussed approach. You will unearth powerful insights into this group and pioneer new ways for alumni relations to support fundraising. You will have a track record of developing highly effective audience journeys and delivering outstanding email and website content, events and 1-1 relationship management. Initially, the role has line management responsibility for one member of staff but this could increase as we get ready for a new campaign.

This is a permanent position, open to full time or part time working (minimum 0.8 FTE).

Interviews for this post will take place on 24th & 27th November 2017.

Informal enquiries may be addressed to Alan Kennedy, email ALAN.KENNEDY@NOTTINGHAM.AC.UK. Please note that applications sent directly to this email address will not be accepted.

The University of Nottingham is an equal opportunities employer and welcomes applications from all sections of the community.
