As an experienced and professional internal auditor looking for fresh challenges and opportunities, there is plenty we can offer you at the University of Nottingham. Our Internal Audit Service provides independent assurance on the University’s global activities – including innovative joint-venture campuses in Malaysia and China - covering a wide variety of strategic risks and key processes.
A truly global university, the University of Nottingham is ranked consistently among the best in the world, with annual turnover of over £600m, approximately 45,000 students and 8,000 staff (across three locations). Our ambitious Global Strategy sets a bold and challenging agenda, focusing on excellence in education and world changing research. The University is undergoing significant change, requiring increased emphasis on effective risk management and control, and thoughtful prioritisation.
Our highly-regarded Internal Audit Service is made up of experienced auditors, reporting to a fully engaged Audit and Risk Committee. Led by the Director and Deputy Director of Internal Audit, we undertake a very broad spectrum of work to support delivery of University ambitions, with an increasingly advisory and strategic role.
You will have significant experience of strategic, risk-based audit, and a track record of working on complex or sensitive topics. You will use your skills and experience to provide thoughtful assurance, advice and insight, to make a difference to the University at all levels. You will be expected to innovate to tailor your approach to best suit the audit topic and context, and to engage confidently and tactfully with senior management. A relevant qualification (e.g. CIIA or CCAB) is essential.
We offer an attractive pension scheme, 30 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays and University closure days, and a range of other staff benefits.
This is a full time, permanent post.
Interviews will be held on 17 November 2017.
Although based at the King’s Meadow Campus, you will regularly visit our other Nottingham campuses. Some travel to the University’s campuses in Malaysia and China is envisaged.
