Resident Tutor - Derby, Lincoln, Sherwood Halls of Residence

There is a vacancy for a Resident Tutor within the Derby, Lincoln, Sherwood Halls Cluster to commence as soon as possible. Registered postgraduate students of the University and staff members of the University are eligible to apply.
The Halls are fully catered Halls for undergraduate students; Derby Hall has 332 students, Lincoln Hall 223 students and Sherwood Hall 265 students in residence. Resident Tutors provide all-round practical support to students and assist the Cluster Warden and Deputy Wardens and Senior Common Room in the welfare, pastoral care and social needs of the students by promoting discipline and observation of health and safety and other University regulations. This involves being available to undertake some evening and night-time duties on a regular basis.
During term-time, Resident Tutors, the Cluster Warden and Deputy Wardens meet on a regular basis to discuss good practice, build the team and provide support across the Halls.
It is a condition of this post that satisfactory enhanced disclosure is obtained from the Disclosure and Barring Service.
Resident Tutors are volunteers and receive no pay for carrying out the role. Accommodation available is a one bedroom self-contained flat within the Halls, with an inclusive charge £3,483.36 per year for 2017/18.
