Director's Impact Fellowship

The Impact Fellowship

Following on from the Landscape and Environment Programme's aim to establish a distinctive and engaging arts and humanities research perspective on landscape and environment, the Impact Fellowship is involved in further activities to develop the dissemination of the research to both public and academic audiences.

By linking with a wide range of partners that connect with the public, the Fellowship has the resources and expertise to enable us to generate a public impact strategy that will be beneficial to society as a whole.

There are three main outputs of the Fellowship:

• Book: the Directorate team are currently working on a book called Living Landscapes
• Website: upon the conclusion of the Fellowship year, this website will be an archived resource for the Landscape and Environment programme
• Performance: Professor Mike Pearson (University of Aberystwyth) was been commisioned to create a new 'soundwork' titled Warplands

Additional outputs developed during the course of the Fellowship:

• Film: Imagining Change: Coastal Conversations is a short film featuring three Programme funded projects, produced by 'Nice and Serious' for the international conference Planet under Pressure in March 2012
• Artwork: A Map of Alkborough Flats and the Humber Estuary to explore the processes impacting upon the decision to establish a Managed Realignment Site (2012) is a map based artwork by Simon Read

Events
